Custom Cooking Classes

The City Kitchen is a boutique culinary event company that specializes in unique, elegant, and creative events. Our custom cooking classes are very hands-on and all meals are made from scratch. Each class begins with a chef introduction and a full walk through of all of the dishes on the menu. Demos are given on any special techniques that will be used to make the recipes and then the fun begins! All attendees receive a recipe packet to take home at the end of class.
We can host custom classes at the venues below and in private homes (as long as the kitchen is big enough) throughout the Bay Area. Classes are designed for between 10-50 people and finish with a meal.

PRICING AND OTHER INFORMATION:

VENUES:
Each of the venues that we work with has their own rental rate. We work with all of them closely and are happy to reach out to them if you have a specific date in mind for your event. All of the venues begin around $1000 for a team building cooking class or Iron Chef competition. This does not include the cost of the class, staff, beverages, and any additional items.

COOKING CLASS:
Our class pricing ranges from $90 to $110 per person, depending on the size of the group. Smaller groups begin at $110 and larger groups begin at $90, and that includes all chef instructors, food, dishwasher (if needed), aprons for the class to wear while cooking, and really pretty recipe packets for each guest to take home at the end. We usually need one or more servers to help with events, and each server is $35 per hour. Larger classes will need two or more servers.

ADDITIONAL FEES:
We work hard to make your event special, and therefore we include an 18% service charge on all final bills. No additional gratuity is expected. We also (whether we like it or not), have to include sales tax.

*Please note: We have a 10 person minimum for all custom, private classes
